Brand New Beginner Course
Vow to heal yourself and witness the changes after this commitment. Students will build a series of postures and learn correct alignment. Great for athletes that want to build a mindful focus in their sport. Our Brand New Beginner Course teaches the fundamental principles that work quickly to improve your posture, alleviate pain, and focus your mind. After your very first class, you will feel relaxed and energized. After eight classes, you will understand why yoga is the oldest, most effective system of wellness in existence. We strongly encourage all beginners to attend this course and welcome intermediate students to help them deepen their understanding of the yoga process. This series takes the “weird” out of yoga helping beginners to understand why and how the postures are practiced. You will build strength, stamina and flexibility.
The Brand New Beginner Course (BNB) consists of eight classes. The cost is $130. Pre-registration is required. Full-time students must pre-register in person to receive a discounted rate of $115 (student ID required). Please don’t forget to fill out the new student form after registration. We encourage all registered BNB students to attend our other classes offered during the Brand New Beginner Course at no additional cost.
Fearless Inversion Workshop
In this workshop we will explore inversions with a sense of adventure, curiosity and most of all fun! Inversions are for everyone and are extremely beneficial in strengthening the body and focusing the mind. We will work on the strength and flexibility needed for inversions, develop core awareness and discover proper alignment for lift off. We will explore headstand, forearm balance, and handstand in a safe approachable way. In addition we will explore how different variations that make inversions approachable to just about anyone! Come expecting to sweat, laugh, play and fly!
Psychic Development Workshop
Techniques and Meditation (Special Prescribed Practices) is a special series of mental exercises sequenced to improve your psychic abilities and promote the projection of your thoughts. They include specific breathing exercises, directed visualizations, and these two powerful mantras: the Mantra for Purification and the Mantra for Unification. These mantras will establish perfect psychic rhythm to mental patterns which puts power behind your thoughts making it easier to achieve your goals and desires in life. These ancient techniques have only been passed down by word of mouth from teacher to disciple and continue to be taught in this way. This class culminates in a final meditation to make your personal dreams a reality. Danielle is one of 12 advanced teachers that are certified to teach this program in our country.
She will also lead a discussion of Yoga philosophy.

NEW! Nike Yoga Camps for Kids
Honest Yoga is proud to host Vermont’s first Nike Yoga Camps for Kids! A program specifically tailored for youth athletes, blending the physical and mental benefits of yoga. Camp will focus on a wide range of athletic, yoga-based activities from: yoga games, journaling, yoga-associated discussions on benefiting stress related issues that come with school and sports / injury prevention, and fun arts and crafts. We hope to see you on the mat this summer!

Serpentine Spine, Radiant Heart
In Honest Yoga Creator’s personal practice, they have been playing with fluidity of the spine. Through study of the physical and energetic bodies, the teacher will lead a transformative, heart-centered sequence that promises to generate love and compassion, deep relaxation, and inner peace in the body and mind. The practice begins flowing sun salutations focused on moving with the breath; rooting in the pelvis; opening the front, back, and side body for invigorating back bends that create brilliance around the heart. In its optimal alignment, the spine normally has four curves: the tailbone tucks under (a kyphotic curve), the top of the sacrum and lumbar vertebrae draw in to the body (a lordotic curve), the thoracic spine is kyphotic and the cervical spine is lordotic. The spine is a pathway for the shushumna nadi, a current of energy that runs inside the vertebral column. In many traditions, this is the path of Kundalini, the serpent power coiled at the base of the spine that can be awakened and raised through a practice of yoga. It is your birth right to embody this power. This yoga practice aligns to the empowered self. Make the heroic leap from the mind back down to the heart and then from the heart to the throat (self-expression). Awaken and speak from you heart ! Feel the energy undulate through your chakra line. Become aware of new possibilities in open heartedness for your practice and your life!
Divine Alignment For Flow
In this vinyasa flow workshop we will dive deep into alignment of our most popular poses at honest yoga. With a deeper understanding of the postures you will learn to relax and breathe bigger into the asanas. With this new awareness in the practice you will be able to take your yoga to the next level. This asana class will be presented in a workshop setting to allow for lots of conversation leading to student participation & input in the direction the class goes.
Flight ! Arm Balances
This workshop is directed towards arm balance beginners- advanced who are ready to fly hirer than ever before. We’ll begin with a vigorous, fun flow class emphasizing the cornerstones of successful arm balances: Core, Open Shoulders and Balance; 3 essentials to lift-off. Then we will start to explore arm balances in deeper detail. We’ll learn the essentials to have you soaring into postures such as bakasana (crow), flying pigeon, side crow, firefly, and more. This is an intensive that explores the foundations of arm balancing, and gives you tips and tricks to advance and get your body soaring off the ground. Bring your questions and take home a refreshed spirit and richer awareness of these striking asanas. Arm balances are liberating postures that teach us not only about our intrinsic power but about our innate playfulness, courage, fearlessness and agility. Learn a pathway to channel these postures into your practice with enthusiasm and ease.
Grow a lotus
Padmasana, or the Lotus posture, is one of the most important yogic seats. It is one of the best positions for pranayama and meditation due to the energetic opening it creates in the lower body combined with the stability and firmness it brings to the spine.
For many, this posture presents challenges due to stiffness in the hips, groins, ankles, and knees. This workshop will help those challenged by padmasana to better understand the structure of the pose, as well as the pathway of practice that will allow it to unfold over time.
This workshop is appropriate for students with a good grounding in the basics of Hatha yoga. Note: the workshop would not be appropriate for anyone with serious knee injuries or other orthopedic injuries or conditions. Please be sensitive to your body’s particular needs and limitations and approach any challenging poses with care and respect.
The workshop prepares you to comfortably approach the pose of full padmasana. The practice features joint mobilizations, and a combination of long-held seated postures and flow to both stretch and stabilize the joints and connective tissues principally involved in the lotus posture.
Join us for a restful and playful practice that can turn your world upside down! Students are guided through a mediation for the first portion then the group will increase relational awareness with partner postures. Students will learn to feel, trust and communicate through movement. Join us with or without a partner for Yoga Love for Valentines day!
